This page is dedicated to all my favourite Manga and Anime cartoons. Manga, is a company which produces cartoons based on the Japanese art style known as Hentai, and there have been hundreds of films and television series produced by Manga over the years. Some of these cartoons have been very good, and some have been appaling. Unfortunatly, we do not get many of these cartoons shown in Britain, and the ones that we do get are often repeated over and over again. The main channels which seem to show Manga animation are; Channel 4, Sci fi channel and Bravo. Most other channels will not broadcast it. This may be because a lot of the shows have 15 or even 18 ratings, and are not considered family viewing.

My personal favourite out of all of the television series, has to be Guyver. The twelve episodes which make up this series, are about a teenager, who finds a strange alien device which fuses to his body, and transforms him into an alien killing machine. Unfortunatly for him a powerful corporation, known as Chronos wants the Guyver unit (as the device is known,) back in its possession, as they plan to use it to take over the world. Chronos has a large selection of weapons at its disposal, the greatest of which being its army of genetically altered humans, known as Zoanoids.

Another favourite of mine is the Oedo 808 series of three short films (about 45 minutes each), set in the far future. Each film revolves around one of three cyber police officers. Each officer is a convicted criminal sentenced to multiple life sentences with no chance of parole. rather than serving their time in jail, they are recruited as police officers, with each conviction reducing their sentences. To make sure that they don't escape, each has a collar around their neck, which will explode if they don't report in with an arrest within a certain period of time.

Ninja Scroll is a full length (over an hour and a half) animated film about a lone ninja who becomes involved in a plot to take over Japan. Unfortunately for him, the people involved in the plot all have demonic powers and are seemingly unstoppable. The hero does have some help, in the form of a female ninja, who's very kiss is poisonous, and a government spy with some special abilities of his own. This film is very well animated, and is well worth watching. It has just been released as part of a three pack of videos, along with Fist Of The North Star, and another film.
