Martin "Fishing Rod" Little

Occupation: Computing (Visualisation) Student at Teesside University

Hobbies: Saying funny things, reading comics, watching TV, using amiga's.

Nickname: Martin is called Fishing Rod on this page, because of his highly technical theory about how a fishing rod can be used to make life a lot better for everyone. This theory can basically be described thus. Firstly, you take a fishing rod, and throw the hook at a very distant object such as a building or a tree. You then proceed to wind in the fishing line, and this drags the building closer to the person with the fishing rod. Eventually this will mean that you will not have to walk anywhere, as you will be able to drag everywhere closer to you. This theory was created when Martin and I were on holiday in Greece. Our hotel room was at the far end of the corridor, and we tried to think up ways to move our room closer to the hotel entrance for when we returned from the pubs. So far we have found two problems with this theory. Firstly, we have not been able to find a piece of line strong enough to pull a building along without it snapping, and secondly, neither of us has a fishing rod. It has also been postulated that if a clock is attached to said rod, and the hook were thrown at a calender, that it might be possible to travel through time.

Personality: Martin is a very friendly happy person, although he never ever smiles. he can pull a lass from several metres just by sitting in a corner and getting drunk. He does not actually need to talk to her, or even look at her for this technique to work. As you can probably guess, he keeps the secret of how his technique works very closely guarded.

Worst Feature: Martin is always thinking of very funny things to say. He will often burst out laughing for no reason at all. When we ask him why, he often says, "I just thought of something really funny that I could say." The thing is, that he will never tell us what he thought of.
